• The base is sea buckthorn water and glycerin. Fragrance appears 24th. The only alcohol here is cetearyl alcohol, at 13th, which is the fatty, non-drying kind.
• So the brightening work here is mostly niacinamide, with vitamin C as a supporting note rather than the lead.

Our read

Treat this as a niacinamide cream with some vitamin C in it, not as a vitamin C treatment. That is not a criticism of the product, it is a correction of the expectation the name sets. If you want a serious vitamin C step, this is not it and a dedicated ascorbic acid serum will do more.
