Does Medicube put its headline ingredients where they count?
Prefer it as a story? What a Medicube label actually says.
By the Medicube Picks editorial team · ingredient lists read 31 August 2026 · how we rank
Every product on this site is named after an ingredient. We read the published list for each one and looked for that ingredient. This page is what we found, all in one place.
That middle pair is the finding. In 43% of the products we could read, the ingredient the product is named after sits in the bottom half of its own ingredient list. That is not fraud and it is not unusual in skincare. It is simply the gap between what a name promises and what a formula shows, and it is a gap you can only see if someone reads the labels.
How to read this
Ingredient lists run in descending order of concentration, but only for ingredients present above 1%. Below that, the order is up to the manufacturer. So a position near the top means there is a meaningful amount of something; a position near the bottom means there is not much, without telling you exactly how little. We give positions, never percentages, for that reason. FDA labeling guide.
Two rules decide what is on this page. First, we read the ingredients out of the product name, not out of our own notes, so a product is only ever measured against what it actually claims. Second, when a name mentions more than one ingredient, which is most of them, we look up all of them and show every result. Judging a product by the worst ingredient in its name would be as arbitrary as judging it by the best. Products whose name mentions no ingredient at all, the Zero Pore and Red lines for instance, are left out entirely: a range name is not a formula claim, so there is nothing here to check.
Named after an ingredient we could not find on the list
These are the sharpest cases: every ingredient the product name mentions is missing from the list we hold. Products whose name mentions several ingredients are not in here unless all of them are absent, because one name that lands is a promise kept.

Common questions
Why does the position in an ingredient list matter?
Ingredient lists run in descending order of concentration, but only for ingredients above 1%. A high position tells you there is a meaningful amount. A low position tells you there is not much, though not exactly how little.
Does a low position mean the product does not work?
No. It means the product is unlikely to work through the ingredient on the front of the box. Plenty of the products here are perfectly good; they are just good for a different reason than their name suggests.
Why do you not give percentages?
Because no one outside the manufacturer can know them. Below 1% the order is the manufacturer’s choice, so a position is the most any reader can honestly infer from a label.
Where do the lists come from?
Each row says. "Manufacturer" means the brand publishes the full list on its own product page. "Amazon" means we could only find it on the Amazon listing, which we have not verified against the pack.
Informational only, not medical advice. Ingredient positions are read from the lists published by the manufacturer or on the Amazon listing at the date above; formulas change and we re-read them when they do.
