• The base is water, glycerin and dipropylene glycol, with niacinamide sixth. It is a light, well-hydrating serum before you get to the marketing.
• Fragrance sits 20th of 40. That is worth knowing in a product sold on soothing and barrier comfort, because fragrance is one of the more common causes of contact irritation.

As a light hydrating serum with niacinamide, this does its job and the ratings reflect that. The PDRN story is the part to hold loosely: almost all published PDRN research studies injected PDRN in a clinical setting, and PDRN is a large, negatively charged molecule that does not cross the skin barrier easily. Topical cosmetic PDRN is a much newer and far less studied use.

Who should skip this

• You react to fragrance, or you are using this on actively irritated skin.
• You are buying it specifically for the PDRN. The evidence for topical PDRN is thin compared with the evidence for the niacinamide that is also in it.
• You want visible firming. This is a hydration and glow product; a retinoid has far more evidence behind it for that job.
